Today was a shocker – a very sad news about Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral (Our Lady of Paris Cathedral). Check out CNN’s article here.
My friends say I am fortunate that I have seen it, live, before this happened. Indeed, I feel so blessed and I wanted to share it with you. This, below, is a video with the ringing bells of Notre Dame, so make sure to turn up your volume. This was taken on the 3rd week of March this year. Now, I’m no video pro, but try to close your eyes and feel the grandeur of the Cathedral. In our minds and hearts, it lives.
It may be in a state of ruin today, but I think it would not be for long. There’s hope! See restoration plans and efforts here.

Thanks to Total for this opportunity and to Etienne Collombet and Valerie for being wonderful pushers, who encouraged me to move around Paris and showed me exactly how to reach the famous and historic Parisian monuments; and especially to Etienne for sponsoring my Metro tickets. Truly beautiful people, inside out.

Hi dear, I been there too, and I was devastated when I saw the news, I hope you guys are good.

Hello, I was only there for a business travel. Even so I feel so deeply for Notre Dame and for everything it represents. I think we are one in prayer. It was such a beautiful place.

I agree with you, it’s a beautiful place with a rich culture, but I am sure it will be restored

Thank you for posting the bells. I played it over and over. I pray the restoration brings it back to it’s former beauty and the bells ring once more for future generations. I visited Notre Dame in 1962. It is etched in my memory.

So, so sad Emile. I was only there once in 1977 with a work’s study trip. Thank you for the post & lovely video 😇
